Camellias and Anemones
The rains are hard on camellias, especially the pale pinks. One day they are pink and perfect, the next day they are browned and on the ground. I picked these blooms right on time. Wish I had 100 bushes so that I could share these pretty little flowers with you.
"The first of April, some do
say,
Is set apart for All Fools' Day.
But why the people call it so,
Nor I, nor they themselves do know.
But on this day are people sent
On purpose for pure merriment."
- Poor Robin's Almanac, 1790

Oh my, what is the name of that Camellia? Your pictures are looking lovely what program are you using? I love camellia.
ReplyDeleteThank you. We think the variety is Nuccio's Pearl, we have had it since the early 90's and so of course the tag is gone. I do all our photos through Picasa. We have a very old camera that takes pretty good photos outside but not so much inside, so I play with Picasa to help make the photos better. My biggest problem is creating a beautiful stage to show the flowers off, sort of like on Pinterest. Doing a lot of reading on lighting and staging for photography online.
